  2. Select the designated airport network (typically labeled “JNIA Free Wi-Fi” or similar).
  3. Follow any login prompts (if applicable) to connect.

This service is available in arrival and departure lounges, as well as transfer areas, enabling passengers to browse, work, or connect with loved ones during their time at the airport.

Device Charging Facilities

To accommodate passengers’ electronic device needs, the airport has installed numerous charging points across various locations:

  • Passenger terminals: Near seating areas and waiting zones.
  • Departure lounges: Strategically located near gates.
  • Transfer areas: To serve passengers connecting through JNIA.
  • Food court areas: Ideal for recharging devices while dining.

The charging stations are equipped with:

  • Power sockets: Tanzania uses 13A square plugs (Type G). Travelers are advised to carry appropriate adapters or purchase them from duty-free shops selling electronic goods in the departure area.
  • USB charging ports: Some locations, particularly in the departure lounges, offer centralized USB charging points for added convenience.

For travelers requiring mobile connectivity during their stay in Tanzania, local SIM cards are available for purchase on arrival. SIM card kiosks are located near the arrivals area, and leading providers such as Vodacom, Tigo, and Airtel offer:

  • Prepaid SIM cards.
  • Affordable data, call, and SMS packages.

Requirements for SIM Card Purchase:

  1. A valid passport.
  2. Registration upon purchase (a mandatory requirement by Tanzanian authorities).

These SIM cards are compatible with most unlocked devices and ensure affordable and reliable communication throughout Tanzania.
